We are ugrently seeking an experienced Social Media Specialist for our client based in Durban.

This is a permanent role.

Our client is looking for a high energy drive and someone who can effectively plan social media content and strategy and most importantly follow through with it.

Duties & Responsibilities
? Contribute to social media strategy and work closely with the communications lead to create detailed strategies
?Implement a comprehensive social media strategy to increase online presence and engagement across various platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
? Create compelling and visually engaging content, including photos, videos, graphics, and written posts
? Manage all social media accounts, including scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, responding to comments and messages
? Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, communications, and program managers, to ensure alignment of messaging and consistency in brand voice.
? Cultivate and nurture relationships with storytellers, partners, and stakeholders
? Monitor social media analytics and track key performance metrics to evaluate the success
? Stay informed about wildlife conservation issues, environmental news, and relevant topics
? Represent the company at events, conferences, and other public engagements

Desired Experience & Qualification
?Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, environmental science, or a related field.
? Proven experience (3+ years) in social media management. Preference will be given to experience in the conservation or environmental sector.
? Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices, with a focus on audience engagement and growth.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and strong storytelling abilities.
? Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highenergy constantly changing environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
? Existing interest in wildlife conservation and environmental sustainability
? Willingness and ability to travel regularly, both domestically and internationally

‘Bonus’ Skills:
? Proficiency in graphic design, Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
? Video editing skills and the use of video editing software, such as Da Vinci Resolve.
? Experience with social media advertising and paid campaigns.
? Knowledge of SEO principles and strategies.
? Fluency in additional languages, particularly African languages, is a plus.

Package & Remuneration
Salary: R15K - R20K
Contract: Permanent (hybrid with travel)
